Schedule set for NFL playoffs’ Divisional Weekend

The Baltimore Ravens and San Francisco 49ers enter the race for Super Bowl LVIII after six teams were eliminated from contention this weekend.

The Ravens in the AFC and the 49ers in the NFC sat out the first round of the NFL postseason as the No. 1 team in their conference.

Only one lower-seeded team won on Super Wild-Card Weekend. By beating the No. 2 Dallas Cowboys 48-32 on Sunday, the No. 7 Green Bay Packers earned a Divisional Weekend game against San Francisco.

Baltimore will open against the No. 4 Houston Texans, who kicked off the playoffs with a 45-14 victory over the No. 5 Cleveland Browns.

The Super Wild-Card Weekend results eliminated from the postseason 31 players from Alabama high schools and colleges who were on the active rosters of losing teams.

The eight teams remaining in the field that will decide the Super Bowl LVIII champion have 25 players from Alabama high schools and colleges on their active rosters. There also are 13 players with Alabama football roots on the postseason teams’ practice squads. Each team is allowed to elevate two practice-squad players to active status for each game. There are nine state players on injured reserve on the rosters of the eight teams.
